What does it mean when a guy shows every possible sign of liking you, and then denies it?

Every sign as in, say, cuddling in an abandoned building and rolling around in a blanket with you, storing you in his phone as ';Pretty Rave Girl,'; (from the song, but STILL) flirting constantly with you, asking to put his arm around you when you're cold, asking you to name his... um... you know... for him. xD And then when you text him later that day asking how 'Jeremiah' is doing, saying ';Ah. He is so happy you are thinking of him.'; And that you two made a rare connection, and he only does special things like that with special people. And before, when you just broke up with your dipshit ex boyfriend and were on the phone with him and said, ';Why can't he get over me? I'm not that special!'; He said, ';Yes you are.'; (In a really cute way, kinda hard to explain) And just EVERY SIGN...





And then when you tell him you like him, he says he REALLY REALLY likes you, but not romantically... And he really wants to be close to you, just not in a romantic love kind of way. And he ';has a different way of looking at things'; which is why I interpreted everything wrong.





Um, what?





After all of THAT he has NO feelings for me?!?!





I don't get it.





(He's not a player. Trust me, we're good friends, I know.)





But... if it's not that, then what else could it be?

Well I have a crush who has both - not ready and shy, so he completely denies liking me. Admits only when he has some drinks:) After that sober he acts all cool, like I don't what you mean, don't remember or stuff like that. Maybe try make him drunk, see what happens lol
